Last updated 1 April 2026. The short version: prices are fixed before treatment starts, guarantees are conditional only on keeping your hygiene appointments, and we charge for appointments cancelled with less than a day’s notice.
Appointments and cancellations
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel an appointment. Less than that and we charge 50% of the appointment fee. This applies particularly to emergency slots and long specialist appointments, where an unfilled chair means somebody else waits another fortnight.
If you are more than fifteen minutes late we may need to reschedule, because the appointment after yours belongs to somebody else.
Quotations and payment
Every treatment plan is written down with fixed prices before any work begins, and stays valid for six months. If treatment turns out to need more work than the plan allowed, we absorb the difference — we do not re-quote mid-course.
Payment is due on the day of treatment. Courses of treatment above £500 can be spread over twelve months at 0% with a 10% deposit, subject to status; longer terms up to five years are available at 9.9% APR representative. Finance is provided by a third-party lender and approval is theirs, not ours.
Laboratory work — crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures — requires a 50% deposit at the preparation appointment, because it is made to fit you and cannot be used for anyone else.
Guarantees
- Ten years on the implant fixture itself.
- Five years on crowns, veneers, bridges and implant crowns.
- Two years of orthodontic review appointments, with retainers included in the treatment fee.
- One year on composite bonding and white fillings.
All of these are conditional on one thing only: attending the hygiene appointments set out in your maintenance plan, normally every six months. They do not cover accidental damage, or damage caused by grinding where a night guard was recommended and declined.
If something we made fails within its guarantee period and you have kept to the above, we remake it and you pay nothing.
Consent
Nothing is carried out without your written consent, and consent for cosmetic and facial aesthetics treatment is always taken at a separate appointment from the treatment itself. You can withdraw consent at any point, including partway through a course of treatment, and you will be charged only for what has been done.
Complaints
Tell us. Speak to whoever you are with, or write to the practice manager at hello@ashcroftclinic.co.uk. We acknowledge complaints within three working days and aim to give a full written response within twenty working days. If we cannot resolve it between us, you can take it to the Dental Complaints Service.
