Examinations
45 minutes with photographs, x-rays where needed, an oral cancer screen and a written report. Routine reviews afterwards are 20 minutes and £62.

Grace Chen sees hygiene patients four days a week at Harrogate and Tuesdays at Wetherby. Airflow stain removal is included, not an upsell.

Composite, shade-matched under daylight-balanced lighting. We have not placed an amalgam filling since 2018.

Children’s dentistry
Under-6s free alongside a treating parent, £42 from six to sixteen. Dr Simi Adeyemi runs first visits as a ride in the chair and a count of the teeth, and nothing more until a child is happy to go further.

Four slots held back every weekday across the two clinics, plus a duty dentist on Saturday mornings. Ring before 10am. You do not need to be registered with us.

Why a 45-minute examination
A ten-minute check-up can tell you whether you have a hole in a tooth. It cannot tell you why you keep getting them, whether your bite is quietly wearing your front teeth down, or whether the gum recession on your lower left has moved in three years.
So the first appointment at Ashcroft is longer, and it produces something you can take away: eight intraoral photographs, a periodontal chart, and a written report setting out what we found, what needs doing now, what can wait, and what each option costs.
About a third of new patients leave that appointment with nothing needing treatment. We would rather find that out in 45 minutes than sell you a plan in ten.
Common questions
No — Ashcroft is entirely private. Many of our patients keep an NHS dentist for routine care and come here for a specific treatment. We write to your own dentist afterwards so your records stay together.
Between six and twenty-four months, set by your actual risk rather than a standard interval. Roughly a quarter of our patients are on annual recall and a handful are on two-yearly.
Say so when you book and we will put you in a consultation-only appointment first: a conversation in a normal room, no chair, no instruments. Around one new patient a week starts that way.
