Face & skin clinic

Face &
Skin Clinic

Run entirely by Dr Priya Raghavan, who has prescribed and delivered facial aesthetics since 2014. Consultations are free, and always on a different day from treatment — nothing here is decided in the same appointment you first ask about it.

What we offer

A deliberately short list. We do the treatments a dentist is genuinely best placed to do — the ones that depend on knowing the facial muscles and the anatomy underneath — and we refer everything else out.

Wrinkle relaxing injections

Forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet. Effect appears over three to seven days and lasts three to four months. Review at two weeks is included and free.

£195–£330

Dermal fillers

Cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and lips. Hyaluronic acid only, so it is dissolvable if you dislike the result. We do not treat noses or under-eyes.

£320 per ml

Jaw clenching and grinding

Injections into the masseter muscle for bruxism and jaw ache. The one facial aesthetics treatment that is genuinely dental — and often the reason a patient stops cracking teeth. Usually paired with a night guard.

£340

Medical skin peels

A course of three, four weeks apart, for pigmentation and skin texture. Prescribed after a patch test at the consultation.

£480 for three

Why the consultation is on a different day

Facial aesthetics is the one part of this clinic where the pressure to decide quickly comes from the industry rather than the condition. Nothing on this page is urgent. Nothing on this page treats an illness. And a great deal of it is sold in the same appointment it is first discussed, to people who came in for a chat.

So we separate the two. You have a free consultation with Dr Raghavan: what bothers you, what is realistic, what it costs, what it looks like if it goes wrong and how it would be corrected. Then you go home. If you still want it, you book the treatment.

The practical effect is that roughly one in five consultations does not convert, which is fine. A cosmetic treatment somebody talked themselves into on a Tuesday afternoon is not a good outcome for either of us.

We will decline treatment where the expectation is not achievable, where the anatomy makes it risky, or where you are under eighteen.

Common questions

Because dentists spend their working lives injecting into the face and are trained in its anatomy in a way most injectors are not. Dr Raghavan is a registered prescriber, works in a clinical setting with emergency drugs on site, and keeps notes in the same records as your dental treatment.

Not if we do it properly. Dr Raghavan treats conservatively, reviews at two weeks and tops up if needed, rather than dosing high on the first visit. Going too far is much harder to undo than going not far enough.

Fillers are hyaluronic acid and can be dissolved with an injection of hyaluronidase, usually within a day or two. Wrinkle relaxing injections cannot be reversed but wear off over three to four months. We explain both before you agree to anything.
