Full Arch
Implants

A fixed bridge on four implants replacing a full upper or lower jaw, from £13,500. Provisional teeth are fitted the same day, so you do not leave without teeth. The definitive bridge follows at four to six months.

The day itself, and the months after

Surgery takes three to four hours under local anaesthetic, with sedation available. Any remaining hopeless teeth come out, four implants are placed through a guide planned from the CBCT scan, and a provisional acrylic bridge is screwed on before you leave. You go home with fixed teeth.

The provisional stays for four to six months while the implants integrate. It is deliberately slightly under-contoured so you can clean around it, and it is not as pretty as the final bridge. Soft diet for the first eight weeks — this is the instruction people find hardest and it matters most.

The definitive bridge is made once integration is confirmed, usually in zirconia with individually characterised teeth. That is when tooth shape, shade and lip support get finalised, and it is a try-in process rather than a single fitting.

Common questions

It is the same concept — four implants, two of them angled to avoid the sinus or the nerve, carrying a full fixed bridge. We do not use a brand name for it because the technique is not proprietary and the branded version is not a different operation.

Two implants and a clip-in overdenture, at around £5,500. It comes out at night and is less like natural teeth, but it solves the main complaint about a lower denture and costs a third as much. We will price both.

On a lower arch, yes, unchanged. On an upper, this is the big advantage over a denture — a fixed bridge leaves the palate uncovered, and people who have worn a full upper denture describe getting their sense of taste back as the thing they did not expect.
